$55.00NFP Board Training Series
We are delighted to offer a specialized training certificate series with Dr. Trevor Hunter to help you improve your skills as a not-for-profit board member.
PART 1: EFFECTIVE BOARD GOVERNANCE – Sept. 3 and 10
PART 2: EFFICIENT BOARD OPERATIONS – Oct. 1 and 8
PART 3: FINANCE TRAINING FOR BOARD MEMBERS – Nov. 5 and 12
PART 4: STRATEGIC PLANNING AND THE NFP BOARD – Dec. 3 and 10
We are offering one training module, consisting of two sessions per month, from September-December 2024 insha Allah.
A SVC NFP Board Training Certificate will be issued to participants upon completion of all four modules.
On Sept. 3 and Sept. 10, we’re hosting Part 1 of the series with Effective Board Governance.
The $55 fee covers both sessions in September.
At the completion of the two sessions in Part 1, you will have gained the following:
-
- A better understanding of the role of a Board and how it relates to mission and strategy
- A better understanding of how to be a good Board member
- Insight into how Boards should be structured to help an organization achieve its goals
The training is designed as a learning discussion and opportunities to ask questions within both sessions will be included.
We’re also excited to announce a special feature! Attendees will be given a case study to read and consider prior our second session — What’s going on with the Board and what would you do about it? The session on Sept. 10 will allow you to put the learning from Sept. 3 into practice.
What are some of the issues for your not-for-profit Board? Bring your questions! Dr. Trevor Hunter will share his knowledge, insight, and experiences.
