How Can I Support My Learners’ Cognitive Development?

Bringing Barakah and Joy into Your Classroom

Join us online! We’re delighted to offer an online teacher training session with child development expert Dr. Fadwa Elashi.

Attendees will:

  1. Understand how children’s cognitive domain changes across development.
  2. Learn how to create developmentally appropriate curriculum in the cognitive domain.
  3. Develop effective communication skills to engage with children in ways that promote their cognitive development, including asking open-ended questions and active listening.
  4. Learn techniques to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in children through activities and challenges.

This interactive session will include opportunities to ask questions and engage in discussion.

Participants will receive the video recording of the session and the presentation slides, insha Allah.

Registration is open to all those interested. Educators, administrators, homeschooling parents, and aspiring teachers are all welcome!

How Can I Support My Learners’ Cognitive Development is the second of three SVC teacher training sessions to be offered online this fall insha Allah.

For attendees who participated in our in-person teacher training on August 26 & 27, 2023, please note:

  1. SVC online teacher training sessions serve as extensions for enriched learning and they are designed as opportunities to access specialized support. Please submit your questions in the registration form and feel free to bring more on Oct. 25th.
  2. Attending our fall online sessions is a requirement to receive the Sound Vision Canada Teacher Training Certificate.

If you are facing financial barriers to participation, please reach out to info@soundvisioncanada.org and we will do our best to support you with a subsidy.
