NFP Growth Day is a unique opportunity for Muslim leaders to learn from a variety of experts, engage in practical workshops, and network within our community. About the Speakers:
Imam Refaat Mohamed is a Canadian scholar, an Imam of multiple Islamic centres in Canada since 2007, a TV presenter, and host of many programs. He has been lecturing on Islam at many conferences and events in Canada for the last 17 years. He received his M.A. and B.A. in Islamic Studies in English with excellence from Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Languages & Translation. Currently, Imam Refaat Mohamed is a Ph.D. candidate at Minnesota Islamic University. He is the president of the Canadian Council of Imams, founder and Imam of the Alabrar Muslim Association, and Imam of Anatolia Islamic Centre.
Mohamed Abdellah is the National Volunteer Manager at Islamic Relief Canada. Starting off on the Toronto Fundraising team at IRC, he found his passion for volunteer management and youth development. Now he oversees over 4,000 volunteers across Canada and more than 35 Islamic Relief Canada university clubs.
Hafsa Taher is an Instagram Strategist and Business Coach for Muslims, dedicated to helping organizations and businesses expand their reach and impact through strategic social media. With over 55,000 organic followers, Hafsa empowers mission-driven organizations to grow intentionally, leveraging digital platforms to amplify their message. Her unique approach blends practical business strategy with purpose-driven guidance, helping leaders unlock their potential and create meaningful community impact.
Chihab Kaab is an executive coach and facilitator specializing in leadership development for nonprofit organizations. As the founder of Coach Chihab Group and creator of the Seeds of Leadership youth program, he empowers senior leaders, teams, and young changemakers to lead with clarity, accountability, and purpose.
Mihad Fahmy is a workplace lawyer and investigator based in London, Ontario. She is also a sessional instructor at Huron University College at Western University and is engaged in the Hurma Project. In her investigations practice, she conducts a wide range of investigations into allegations of sexual harassment, human rights infractions, workplace bullying and other forms of workplace misconduct. Prior to commencing her investigations practice, Mihad was union side counsel for over 15 years. Mihad also served as Human Rights Advisor to the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) advising the advocacy organization on human rights and anti-discrimination issues, oversaw human rights research and policy development, and represented individual complainants being assisted by NCCM.
